Towson, MD – May 14, 2014 – The Central Baltimore County Democratic Club (CBCDC) announced its slate of endorsed candidates for the June 2014 Primary Elections. All of the endorsed candidates have demonstrated a commitment to progressive Democratic values and the issues important to Baltimore County residents. In the state-wide contests, CBCDC has endorsed Delegate Heather Mizeur for Governor, Senator Brian Frosh for Attorney General, and Comptroller Peter Franchot for re-election. The club also announced the endorsement of Senator Jim Brochin for re-election in District 42, Delegate Steve Lafferty for re-election in District 42A, and newcomers Robert Leonard (42B) and Don Engel (11) for election to the House of Delegates. For county-level races, CBCDC has endorsed Councilwoman Vicki Almond for re-election in Council District 2 and Laurie Taylor-Mitchell for Council District 3. In order to receive CBCDC’s endorsement candidates needed to receive the support of sixty percent or more of the club’s voting members.
