"The Central Baltimore County Democratic Club, in accordance with its' bylaws, has the authority to endorse candidates for office in Democratic primary elections. In response to requests from several Club members to make an endorsement in the US Senate primary on April 3rd, an endorsement committee was appointed by the CBCDC President. The committee unanimously recommended CBCDC endorse Sen. Ben Cardin for re-election.

Sen. Cardin, a Baltimore County resident, has a distinguished record of public service at the state and federal level. Sen. Cardin is a national leader on issues important to our club, including health care, financial literacy, retirement security, and the environment. Sen. Cardin has also been a longtime friend of CBCDC, most recently meeting with our members at the February meeting.

Club members will have an opportunity to discuss and vote to accept or reject the endorsement committee's recommendation at the next General Meeting on March 13th. Only dues-paying members may vote on endorsements."
