DEMOCRACY TOWN HALL MEETING. Sponsored by MoveOn.org The
Senator Theater Target
Date: May 4th, 2010 The
focus of the gathering is on how to combat the enormous and growing corporate
influence in the arena of politics and public policy. This is an important and
salient topic, especially given the recent decision from The Supreme Court to
which President Obama so memorably referred during his State Of The Union
address before Congress in January. The agenda for the town hall
meeting will include a few speakers, open discussion from the audience,
and some breakout sessions to discuss specific areas of interest within
a small group setting. MoveOn is hoping for a lively, open exchange of
ideas and perspectives and is reaching out to progressive-minded individuals
and groups in this area. The final details for the town hall meeting will
be worked-out shortly. Contact: Alan R. Stein, al_r_stein [at] yahoo.com Home: 410-252-8600, Cell:
