Next Tuesday, on April 10th, the CBCDC will hold its April meeting at 301 Allegheny Avenue, Towson, Maryland.   Doors open at 6:30 pm, the meeting starts at 7:00 pm.

Fresh out of the legislative session, Senator Bobby Zirkin, Delegate Dana Stein, Delegate Shelly Hettleman, and Delegate Steve Lafferty are scheduled to be our guests. They will discuss the legislative session and their campaigns for reelection.  Our meeting announcement:



We will also hold our first endorsement meeting on April 10th.  We will vote on endorsements for Congress, Governor, Attorney General, Comptroller, Circuit Court Judges, and the County Council.  Everyone whose dues for 2018 were paid on or before March 12th will be eligible to vote during the April endorsement meeting.

The Executive Board met to discuss endorsements, and in some cases the members of the Executive Board agreed to recommend that the CBCDC endorse particular candidates running in competitive races.  Those recommendations are as follows:

US SENATE:  Senator Benjamin L. Cardin

US HOUSE MD 2:  Representative C.A. "Dutch" Ruppersberger

US HOUSE MD 3:  Representative John Sarbanes

US HOUSE MD 7:  Representative Elijah E. Cummings

GOVERNOR:  No recommendation.

ATTORNEY GENERAL:  Attorney General Brian Frosh (running unopposed).

COMPTROLLER:  Comptroller Peter Franchot (running unopposed).

COUNTY COUNCIL DISTRICT 2:  Izzy Patoka

COUNTY COUNCIL DISTRICT 3:  No recommendation.

COUNTY COUNCIL DISTRICT 5:  No recommendation.

CIRCUIT COURT JUDGES:  Judge Carey Deeley, Judge Michael Finifter, Judge Ruth Ann Jakubowski and Judge Dennis Robinson.

At our May meeting we plan to hold endorsement votes on the County Executive, House of Delegates, and State Senate races.  To be eligible to vote at our May endorsement meeting, your 2018 dues must be paid on or before Monday, April 9th.  Dues are $20 (students $10) and can be paid via PayPal or mailed to the CBCDC, PO Box 5194, Lutherville, Maryland 21094.
