Phone bank for Jon Ossoff, WEDNESDAY March 22 5:00-8:00 pm

Last week, a group of 17 people got together at the Baltimore County
Democratic Party office and made 569 phone calls into Georgia. Why? There
is a special election taking place on April 18th to fill the seat of
Congressman Tom Price who was appointed Secretary of Health and Human
Services. We are calling to help Jon Ossoff win the seat. Donald Trump
only won by 1% in that district and there is a feeling that we can win
this one!

Can you share with your network that we will be meeting again tomorrow
from 5-8pm at 301 Allegheny Avenue, Towson, MD 21204? They can show up
anytime between those hours. Here are some reasons why they should join:

1) What else are you going to do? The strategy that is more effective is
door-to-door canvassing. The campaign has border housing available if you
want to head down there. The week of April 10th is the ideal time to head
down. But if you can't make it down there, then phone banking is your next
best option.

2) Early on in any phone banking operation, you will have the least amount
of success and the greatest amount of discouragement. As we go through a
limited number of voters, we will continue to weed out the bad phone
numbers and non-supporters. The next round of calls will naturally be a
more positive experience because people like you have reported the
disconnected numbers which removes them from the list.

3) It's working. Phone banking can't be separated out from the media buys
and door-to-door work being done in Georgia, but all together, Ossoff is
gaining steam

A new poll just came out that shows Ossoff now at 41%. He needs 50 plus
one to win.

I don't know if phone calls work, but they don't hurt. Leaving voicemails
increase name recognition for our candidate and remind the household that
the special election is taking place. I appreciate your time and
commitment when you could be doing something else. Thank you.
